What this place is
We are not a luxury hotel.
We are a very good one.
The floors are hand-laid cement tile, not marble. The wall discs are cane, made in this district. The green on the walls is the green you will find on half the old buildings in Harihar, because that is where we got the idea.
What we spend money on is the part you sleep on and wash in. Firm mattresses. Linen changed between every guest. Hot water at three in the morning, not for two hours after sunrise. A generator that keeps the fan running through a cut.
Fifteen thousand people have stayed here since 2016. A fair number of them come back, which is the only review that has ever mattered to us.

Five rooms
From a ₹250 bunk to the quietest room in the building
Every rate below is the direct rate, taxes included, for two guests. Nothing is charged until you arrive.
What is included
The things that actually decide whether a night was good
No spa, no rooftop bar, no infinity pool. What follows is the list we would want if we were the ones arriving at midnight.
Free Wi-Fi
In every room, not just the lobby
Free parking
Cars and two-wheelers, on site, under CCTV
24 hour reception
Someone is awake whenever your train gets in
Hot water, all day
Not a two-hour morning window
Power backup
Fans, lights and Wi-Fi stay on through a cut
CCTV and safe access
Monitored corridors and entrance. Solo female travellers welcome
Also here: air conditioning (on premium ac rooms), ceiling fan (in every room), flat-screen tv (on premium rooms), daily housekeeping (rooms turned over between every guest), room service (tea, coffee and food to the door), laundry (same-day if in before 10am), pet friendly (tell us at booking and they are welcome), extra beds and cribs (on request, ₹300 per extra guest). Anything else, just ask.
Who stays here
Seven very different reasons to be in Harihar
A sales call in Davanagere and a wedding in the family need different things from a room. Find yourself below and we will point you at the right one.
Couples
The Premium AC room is on the quiet side of the building, away from the road and the stairwell.

The building
Photographed as it is, on an ordinary Tuesday
No wide-angle tricks and no borrowed stock. If a floor tile is chipped in a picture, it is chipped in the room.
